How Envision Yoga Works
You don’t need more willpower - you need freedom from the old beliefs and patterns that keep repeating.
Envision Yoga uses bilateral stimulation (the same mechanism used in EMDR) to create a calm, REM-like state - then yoga, visualization and affirmations help new, empowering beliefs and behaviors take hold.
History and Lineage
Vidya Heisel, Frog Lotus Yoga International
Leah Davis completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Vidya Heisel of Frog Lotus Yoga International in 2011 and also participated in a weeklong Envision Yoga Self-Empowerment Training with Vidya in September 2011. Vidya Heisel has certified over a hundred teachers in Envision Yoga - a practice combining NLP with Kundalini Yoga. Inspired in part by that experience, Leah later developed an independently created methodology of the same name drawing on asana, mantra, mindfulness, mind-body connection, and positive thought.
Francine Shapiro, EMDR Therapy
In 2021, Leah Davis began EMDR therapy and credits it with resolving her own PTSD symptoms. This led her to the research of Dr. Shapiro, the psychologist who discovered in 1987 that bilateral stimulation could reduce the charge of troubled thoughts. Her discovery grew into EMDR, a therapy now used by millions worldwide and recognized by the WHO. Inspired by her own healing, Leah later developed an independently created methodology integrating bilateral stimulation, EMDR research, and neuroscience.
